Powdered mother of pearl and gold has been used to create shimmering effects throughout the image.
Edges and image have golden accents throughout.
Has a couple of dings on the corners from handling.

'one-of-a-kind' exquisitely painted and detailed box from 1972.
100% hand-painted in tempera and gold according to the technique of
the Great Russian miniaturists masters school of KHOLUY.
Box measures 5" x 3" 3/8 and stands 1" 3/4 high.
It took the artist over
60 days
to complete
this wonderful
piece of art!
